Reflection
As believers, our Lord Jesus is many things to us. He is our master, our saviour, our advocate, and so importantly, He is our friend. A friend that is closer than a brother, a friend so kind, generous and forbearing. He fights for us, continuously pleading our cause before the father.
In His infinite mercies and in the riches of His power, He invites everyone that has a burden to come to Him for relief.
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Why then do we suffer unnecessarily
Why do we put all the worries upon our own selves
Why does the devil deceive God's children into bondage
For how long will we weep and hurt without succor
We will rather call upon Him while He is near
We will cast all our cares upon Him
We will lay our burdens upon Him
We will ask until our joy is full and overflows.
John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
