John Anthony Frusciante is best known as guitarist of the Californian funk-rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. I don't want to write much about him or his years with the RHCP. His solo music includes great rock and psychedelic music with so much feelings in it, so I just want to introduce to you the music of this very talented musician.

The last days I was very busy with Carnival. There was loud music around me all the time... to be honest, that was also my own fault because i played the drums. So when I came home at night and before starting for the next concert in the morning I just wanted quiet, calming music to come down. For this I payed more attention to John Frusciante. I knew him before but never gave him the attention he deserves.

The young Frusciante was a big fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and became friends with the members. After the guitarist Hillel Slovak died through an overdose heroin, Frusciante became a member of the band from 1988 until 1992. Unfortunately he also started to use drugs and needed a pause to focus on other topics. Free of addictions he came back to the RHCP from 1998 until 2009.

Besides the Red Hot Chili Peppers he released numerous solo album and EPs - to much to name them here. He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as member of the RHCP but took not part at the ceremony in 2012.
With the time his music became more experimental with a synthesizer and other electronic elements. A friend of mine gave me this song (Falling) on a CD years ago and i just loved it... but never knew that it's from a guy called John Frusciante who also creates awesome acoustic songs:
