We wanted to share with you the work of Pralaya. Pralaya is an underground NYC Alt Rock band made up of artists Alex Knales (Vox), Jon Connolly (Bass), Greg Telfeian (Drums) and Rick Whitley(Guitars). The band was years in the making, and happened when Rick, John and Greg jammed out a couple times a month, eventually getting monthly studio time and developing a natural chemistry which helped them expand their musical synergy even further.
Pralaya has a sound that is reminiscent of 90s rock. Their album Matter of Time is a prime example of PRALAYA’s musical prowess and is damn near perfect alternative rock. Every tiny nuance, every word, every subtle verse and every soaring chorus resonated with confident force through my headphones.
The 6 track record brings the best of each member together to form an outstanding cohesive listen. The opener “Image” is a melodic art-rock piece with the full sonic landscape filled with sound. The title track “Matter Of Time” combines a full mesh of each member’s talents to form a very modern rock friendly song that can compete with anything on mainstream radio today.
