Sammie hitting the stage

Today we went with our band to a jam session instead of a rehearsal. We thought it would be nice just to play with some other musicians for a change. Unfortunate there weren't a lot of people which surprised me because it was a great venue with awesome gear and sound. My youngest came with me to see how things went at a session like this, he never went to one. When I asked him (he brought his own bass of course) if he wanted to play a little he didn't hesitate for a moment and climbed the stage...

And me? I was (and still am) a proud daddy.

His first song he started together with my brother (drums) and our guitarist. Soon another guitarist joined them and even a harmonica player. He did a great job.. It was awesome to look at.

Then the musicans changed, another guitarplayer and a new drummer entered the stage. I asked him if he wanted to keep playing ( it can be exciting of course) but he was determined and he did a great job... It was a grea sunday.

How did your sunday went?

I would be proud too. My daughter has played some bass, but violin is her main instrument.

Violin is a great instrument too... My aunt plays the violin too :)

I also love how some integrate the violin into modern music like Vanessa Mae,

My daughter is more into playing in the orchestra, but I'm sure she will keep playing and trying new things. It's great to have a few musicians in the family and play together.

That's awesome . Violin, also in a orchestra, brings so much flair and feelings to music.... And indeed, it's just great to have musicians in the family... enjoying music together..

Awesome! What a great job! This looks like it was probably a really cool activity for both of you. I like how musicians can just play off of each other and know where the other one is going with something.
