The Dutch music scene at it's all time low.

First of all I would like to say that anyone is entitled to make music in their way so this is no attack or bashing on anyone or anything but I would like to make a personal statement about my thoughts in the Dutch music scene within our charts.

Of course it is a matter of taste but looking at this video of a 'Dutch artist' Famke Louise it makes me shiver. If you look at the video you see a very unhappy lady trying obvious the best she can, but she can't. Looking at the comments on the YouTube video it's confirmed that there are a lot of people thinking the same way but articulate it quite differently. (offensive language). Although I can understand I think there is no reason to burn people to the ground like that.

A bit of history

Famke Louise started as a YouTuber with posting video's where she pranked her friends. A lot of people didn't like those because they were framed so she quited this video's and started posting fashion and beauty video's. They were popular and she got a lot of attention with them. She even participated in a model show on TV where she got some more famous and there is (in my opinion) where it went wrong. (again, as a model and vlogger she is really funny and the wrong part lies within the next part). She got also popular among the 'so called dutch rap scene' , a music genre for which is (still) very popular with kids in Holland. I personal have a completly other understanding about rap, rap for me is Snoop Dog, Eminem, DrDre, Ice Cube .. But then again, that is al about taste. The dutch popular rapscene are some young fellows , smart with a computer and using 'tough lyrics'and loads of auto-tunes (because their voices aren't pure...)...

Femke got in touch with some of them and they recorded a song "Op me monnie"

The first time I heard this song I thought "WTF is this" her voice is completely mallformed just to make it sound a bit like if she could sing. And for that she isn't the only one in Holland. almost all those wanna be rappers uses auto-tune to cover their mis-musicality (sorry for the hard words, but that is really how I see it).

Nowaday's with all the streaming services the real money for musician's are in performing live. So Famke isdoing her best to do that. What I find as totally disrespectfull, despite of what you think about their music, is that people in the audience think that they have the right to humiliate or even provocate the artist on stage. In the next video you see Famke singing and during her performance some dickhead thinks he is funny by throwing a glass of beer to her...

If the organisation of that gig has some balls the halted the performance and throw the little !@#$ out of the venue. I think those things are unacceptable despite what you think of the artist or their music....

Ronnie Flex is like Famke Louise, he used to be a side-kick for a rap artist named 'lil kleine', but enjoys a solo career now. The youth is lyrical about them so they are succesfull...

But nevertheless the core of my story is that I really regret that nowadays you have to be smart with auto-tunes and a computerprogram to get popular in the dutch charts. As a good old fashioned band with conventional instruments there seem to be no place anymore... And the side effect is that kids aren't learning the real deal when it comes to music anymore...

Besides that I think 'artists' like Famke Louise should be protected in one or another way, yes she is 'selling' but at the other side there is so much hatred against her... I really feel sorry for her about those things... It could harm her in the long run.....
