Who said you have to drive to a big city and pay over $5 to hear a great show? (Video included)

A few months ago a small venue and music shop opened up around my area called Midway Music which is exactly what the people around town needed. Local musicians cropped up that I never knew existed and blew away anyone who would stereotype that to mean lack of talent or importance. Overnight this became my salvation to make new friends and with people who care enough about music to know about the outlet. I now have a decent drumset and have befriended multiple band members. What a wonderful accident to have discovered this gem while merely picking up a drink at a convenience store!

The group featured above is probably one of the bands I've enjoyed most so far. The recording doesn't even do justice to them at all. The sound in person radiates with explosive power in ways I can't even describe. The singing is intriguing and unique. The strings are performed with brilliance and passion. The drums add weight to every shift in tempo. The collaboration of all these sounds wrap together in such a way, you'll stop and say "Damn, that's sexy!" -- especially with solos/leads that would make Jimi Hendrix proud weaved in. The execution of the performance and the presence with the audience prove they are having a blast with you. I'm so glad I can say that I've hung out with all these dudes!

Nice!! Definitely a Whiskey Wednesday vibe :) Love it

Just let Delburt the lead guitarist know about this article this morning as a surprise. He was pretty excited, and he told me he was going to give an acoustic single to a select few fans and I'll be one of the recipients. :)
