"Letting Go" Songwriting Challenge #22 by Morgan Washam

in music •  5 years ago  (edited)

Today's song title says it all. Sometimes when we hold on too tight in life to things that are not meant for us, it keeps us from the growth that we need in order to be our best-selves. I wrote this song in one sitting as a lullaby to myself. I've had trouble sleeping lately because of difficulty letting go to things not meant for me. It was my intention to get this mantra stuck in my mind. I hope it resonates with you too! See you tomorrow!

To let go, probably the most complex thing to do for humans.
Easy and difficult at the same time.
Beautiful song. The melody itself does not let go, does not get released from the innitial tonality and makes us wonder what kind of development it might have had had it departed from the initial tone/theme.

Thank You @hlezama

ehy dear @wildwoodmedia, your music is very beautiful, but this time the words are a special component in your composition. never words were more suitable to describe what is often a human condition from which few know how to get away !! it is true, we remain so attached to things even when they hurt us and are not done for us at all. but I think that sometimes we don't realize it, even when we hear that subtle voice within us that says something is not right, we don't see the situation that is caging us with clear light. when we understand this we are sometimes more afraid of change than of the discomfort we feel.
I hope your song is a working mantra !!
congratulation for your curie rating

Thank you for your kind words @road2horizon
