Trace Party Opinion

Personally, I see Afrikaburn as a gathering for mainly pretentious rich peeps to escape the city and pretend to live without money for a while and be all arty farty. It's definitely not carbon neutral, think about all the fuel used to fell the wood, craft it and then transport it 100's of Kms to the venue only to get burnt. With all the money and time pumped into it one could do amazing upliftment projects and still throw a mad jol without all the pretentious burning.

Same goes for most tranceys these days, they just not what they once were. Woodstock still hasn't been beaten and never will be.

Like you are expressing your opinion, although I don't agree with you. Wouldn't you think that these 'rich peeps' as you call them, atracts people from other countries and them spending money in Africa wouldn't support the African economy and people working in tourism? Same for the local South African people who spend money into the economy to be able to get to the festival?

I just think there's more important things to be spending money on than drug-binges and music gatherings - Not hating at all, and each to their own :)

Trance parties aren't what they used to be anymore anyway.
