Sound of my childhood:day 1of musicchallenge

I was born in 1978 where ET ,Sound of Music Indiana Jones and King Kong where blockbusters. Of time where black and white television where a fad that kids these days would mistook it for a microwave with its large knobs to switch channels .Cables were unpopular and DVD players were chunky.

Because my parents couldn't afford to buy the colored tube we have to sit on other people living room to watch those iconic movies of my childhood. It was fun as we get to chitchat among children as well during the film and play with each other when it ends.

Because pirated movies were not common, and YouTube were unheard of and online source like Spotify was just a pigment of imagination we tend to repeat the movie several times that we end up memorizing the lines eventually .

So for this music challenge initiated by @jokossita let me tell you how I love the playlist from the Sound of Music even at my 40's.I love the plot and the fact that it was an adaptation to real life characters famous for their God given voice. I am just sad that it isn't a sunny story all the way for the von Trap family after their migration.

I love this song as its easy to remember . As a teacher its a constant reminder to me that students learn best by creating word association . Nowadays, instead of having kids memorize teachers try to incorporate songs in their class.Grammar rules, mathematical and scientific concepts even historical facts can best be remembered by creating funny colorful music. Hence for my entry on song of my childhood here is my pick.
