My music 'career' in chapters.

in musician •  7 years ago  (edited)

I see my 25 years as an amateur and semi professional musician in chapters. There are 5 or 6 definite parts to the journey (yes i used the J word).

The first part in my mind starts before i even picked up a guitar and then progresses through learning to play and co-creating my first band.

The story then easily breaks down in to each of the bands I've been in as they tend to have been quite different. Not necessarily in the music style but in the band dynamics and the stages of my 'real' life that they came along.

I will keep each section fairly short but if you want ask me about anything, feel free.

The first part will be along soon.

I also feel i should explain the reason for me writing this blog. Myself and the boys from Barfly (pictured) are still very good friends and agreed we should write a book about some of the stuff we got up to back in the day when we thought we would be the next Oasis. We want to write the book for our own benefit really, we're not getting any younger and the memories fade. We don't expect anyone else to want to read it. So this blog is partly my prep work for this book.
