I absolutely Loooved this movie and truth to be told.... 😉 Still do... Lol
Seen it like a thousand times growing up and I had a major crush on Patrik Swayze!
This part of the movie is my Favorite and I can watch it over and over again.... Lol

That is a great choice of song from way back when! I loved listening to it, too. I think I will try to rent the tape when I get back and watch the movie. Hahaha, yes... I have not seen that movie yet.

ah!!! This was our farewell song in our final year. It's a tradition here at schools that in your final year your grade chooses a song to sing at a farewell concert, and we sang this!

I watched an interesting documentary on this movie a while ago.. it was a very small production done on a tiny budget.. most expected it to go unnoticed since most of the actors were still pretty much unknown.. but it made a huge splash in america and many people protested it and wanted it banned because of the abortion story line. It almost didn't make it into the movie theatres because of it.
And now it is an american cult classic :) funny how things work out.
The documentary is called "the dirty dancing story" and aired on channel 5 in the uk. I don't know if its still available but if you are interested .. maybe its on youtube these days.
