@slobberchops nominated me for this challenge. I usually don't have the time to commit to daily challenges, but since it involves music, I am absolutely making an exception!
Last day! This whole thing took a little longer than it should have because I took a break over the weekend, but I am finally finishing up this series.
When I was younger, I used to listed to a lot of Contemporary Christian Music. I am going to be honest, back in those days, the production quality of Christian music just wasn't what it is today.
There was always a definite sound difference between that genre of music and most modern pop at the time. Petra is one of the bands that did a little better job of standing against that distinction. Although they never got any crossover airplay, they were able mimic some of the hair metal sound of the time with blatant Christian lyrics.
