Well no I'm definitely living life with fear but I think that's only natural. Being afraid isn't something that anybody or anyone should be afraid of, Its not something that should be dismissed or casted away, no, not by any means. To me, fear is an important part of life.
Fear of death proves that you actually value your life, infact every fear is proof that you're human. Any fool can wake up and make stupid decisions and do things that make him look brave, but overcoming your fear to do something...that is true bravery. Fear itself provides us with the opportunity to be brave and despite what anyone says, being brave doesn't mean you aren't afraid, it just means that you've been able to overcome it, it means that even though you might be terrified of taking a step, you've willed your mind and body into doing it. Fear in many ways holds alot of us back from achieving our true potential, but the truth is that overcoming that fear is a big part of achieving it.
A long time ago, when I was still in college, I think in my first year, I was sleeping around 2am when I happened to be awakened by something. A girl was screaming around 2am outside my apartment complex, apparently she'd just been robbed and the robbers had stabbed her as well. It only took me about 5 secs to realise that the person was a friend of mine, a dear friend at that, I knew I had to go out and help her. Unfortunately, when I tried to move, I couldn't, I was completely paralysed by fear, for how long, I'm not sure, but I couldn't move a single muscle, I started to think I was having sleep paralysis but the truth was I was just simply terrified. So much was going through my mind, What if they come back and stab me too?? What if the police get there and say I did it?? What if my friend bleeds out and dies?? That last part hit me hard and with my whole body shaking I got up and went to go and meet her.
Thankfully the wounds weren't serious, a couple of deep cuts, but nothing life threatening. Me and some of my friends rushed her to the hospital and she was ok. The reason why I'm saying all this is because I was terrified, I was scared, but I was able to overcome it. No matter how you see it, overcoming fear is an important part of life and you can't overcome dear if you have no fear whatsoever.
Good points, but there actually is a time when you simply eliminate all the fears from your life
Usually it happens after hard spiritual awakening when you comprehend the fact how you are infinite being that & this earthly life is nothing but a fractal illusion in the sea of universes you've been through & will be
Oh no. I'm definitely not living without fear. I'm living in constant fear, every single hour of every single day. The fear of mediocrity. The fear of staying the same as I was yesterday. The fear of not progressing in life. The fear of stagnation.
I live in constant fear of these every single day, and it motivates me; drives me towards my goal in a way nothing else can.
Without them, in fact, I doubt I could have what it takes to wake up in the morning. I doubt I could ever look inside me and see somebody that can get anything done.
Yes, fear is a menace that deters us from acheiveing our dreams. But that is the wrong kind of fear. The fear of making progress. The fear of taking the next step in life. The fear of failure. But that is not the kind of fear which I speak of. This fear is the opppsite kind. There is a saying I heard from a friend. Fight fear with fear.
And I believe a great man once said the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Fear fears fear. Instead of being afraid to take the next step, be afraid of what happens when you DON'T take the next step. Instead of being afraid of trying, be afraid of what happens if you don't try. We miss one hundred percents of the shots we dont take, they say. So instead of being afraid of failure, be afraid of a life without failure and the lessons and progress that comes with it.
I'd like to end with a speech from Theodore Roosevelt, The Man in the Arena, where he said that the glory belongs to the man who actually is in the arena smeared with sweat and blood, and not the cowardly souls, who know neither victory nor defeat. It's better to have striven and fall short, than to not have striven at all! Be afraid of not striving!
Also of course there are a lot more of what is called rational fear. Like the fear of putting your hands in fire. The pain communicates it to you, and you know the next time to be afraid of it. This is logical and rational and im fact we need this, else we'd all be dead, or mere zombies roaming the earth without a thing to lose, because we've lost the one thing that makes us human--fear and self-preservation.
Yeah, I am living my life without any fear what is the need to be afraid of something or someone when you do the right thing. if you live your life fearing about someone or something you can't be happy. Fear is a enemy for your success only if you break all your fear and move forward you can achieve your goal.
If you fear always you will not be able to face the situation with confidence. Fear is something which will block you from the reality. There is no need to fear when you do the right thing. But when you know you are doing something wrong and you feel the fear then you must really stop doing such a mistake in your life and do only the right thing without any fear. Its always good to stay positive and stay away from fear to have a happy and peaceful life.
First of all, everyone lives with one form of fear or the other. I think its all about how we deal with it. Recently, I've been deathly afraid of what the future holds in terms of my growth and breaking away from family to find myself and be my own person. Its been quite a struggle trying to deal with the fear that creeps in when i plan and try to execute those plans and something don't go accordingly.
People often encounter things or situations in life that scar them forever and they begin to live in fear and end up living life in the least way possible.
I admit i live with some fears and sometimes become detached but i can also say it's not a flaw but all part of human nature; because if you're not afraid of something, then there has got to be something less human in you.
We are being programmed to think that fear is natural, but in fact it isn't. I mean, depends how you look at it! It's closely connected with our bodies, but when we wake up to the fact how we are nothing more than pilots of these bodies - we can slowly realize how fear is an illusion to keep us entrapped and therefore block us in reaching our highest potentials!
I do understand and I agree. Biological factors are hard to control but with hard work and persistence for years even them can be manipulated! Remember, invisible creates the visible & you are actually energetic beings, even your body is made from layers of energy you can't see since your eyes can't perceive it :)
I'd say yes. I dont have fears, not of unseen enemies, not of future and not even of death.
I don't subscribe to the school of thought that believe that everyone has one thing or the other to fear.
I live my life, serving God and being the best I can be. I dont swindle anyone and don't go around fermenting trouble. As much as possible, I like to live my life so it would be said he lived a good life when I'm gone from this realm.
Fear is False Experience Appearing Real. The fears, most times than not, exist solely in our minds. The moment you come together accept thus truth, you will experience true freedom.
I used to be afraid of the dark because I thought ghosts were lurking around, looking to devour. Now, I realize all of that is false.
