On Steemit, flag is a down-vote. On some dApps such as busy.org, you just have a down-vote in form of thumb-down. It does look like Steemit was trying to hide it, but then Ned really loves to down-vote people.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

Yeah, I just found out that it was the flag button. I made a post and downvoted myself just to try it out. But wait, Ned likes to downvote people ?

Oh, yeah! Big time, he's not very good in dealing with disagreement.
There was an uproar once when he down-voted !pancakes or !popcorn, I don't remember which one.
Thankfully, he un-voted after being spammed to do so.

Thanks for contacting Pancakes Express!

Would you like to order pancakes?

Please upvote this comment with your order:

Ow, so he is one of those "I'm right and if you disagree I will make sure you suffer the consequences" guy. Didn't expect that from him, I thought he was a cool guy who was just chilling with everybody. Oh, and I like the fact that those two you mentioned have automated post.

There's another one he down-votes all the time, but I'm not going to summon it.
It's NSFW. xD

So he is actually downvote trigger happy. Maybe he has a reason, but I think he feels powerful by doing it.

More like a 5 year old with a hammer. Everything looks like a nail.
But I don't know him as a person, maybe that's just a facade.

Nah, I have a feeling that while everyone is admiring him for having that much SP, his ego grew along with it. I don't see the benefits of it being a facade, but really, who knows.

Oh, if I may make a suggestion to you.
Don't burn all your voting power like this.
I get it. It's polite to up-vote comments.
Wait it regenerate to 100%, and up-vote all musing questions and answers which have no prior up-vote and themselves are no younger than 5 mins.
If you going to use your dust vote, might as well make some SP from it. ;)
