I like the insight you gave here 😊

Thanks

That was a well put story, thanks for your effort that is what I was looking for (I thought of putting this question on reddit to get a proper story that I would enjoy reading but here you go I enjoyed your piece of writing). and I do pity the woman in this story she has been through a lot.

Hahaha...brilliant. Just brilliant :) I wish you all the best for 2019 :)

Ha ha. Thank you so much for your wish and you too. Have a great time ahead. 🙂

I know, it is completely rare for a space rock to hit the earth ground let alone for an alien to survive the amount of heat generated from said meteorite. However I did not mean for this question to have a realistic answer. I would not people to go wild with their thoughts and make a good story.

I hoped of more of a fleshed out short story, but that works, especially that you answered rapidly.

Thanks for the tips. Appreciate it😊

I agree with your assessment.

The Philosophy taught by Christ is indeed a valuable set of ideas and is better than "an eye for an eye" but it isn't the best Philosophy for Personal Relationships.

Self-Respect and Mutually Respect can be fostered, promoted and even enforced in our personal lives, and ultimately achieves greater results than Lose-Win exchanges.

Win-Win is better!

Absolutely. I know quite a bit how detrimental offering the other cheek can be. In a culture like ours, where being honest and a pacifist is considered to be pendejo (dumb), people take advantage of whoever practices that.
Very often we have to stand up and avoid the hit, at least, if we want to continue in the game.
You have avery happy new year's eve celebration. My best wishes for you and your beautiful family.

I am finally done editing my answer for this question @hlezama.

My main concern with turning the other cheek is that the victim of the slaps eventually becomes the aggressor (if they are slapped enough times), and I don't want to be an aggressor.

Even Christ, who was meant to depict the Perfect Human Being, is said to become an aggressor in the Bible stories.

i.e. Christ is depicted as an aggressor towards the end of the Bible stories, when the stories say he will return to Earth, and cast his enemies, non-supporters and bystanders in burning sulfur.

Yes. In the gospels, Mathew 10:34, for instance, Jesus is quoted as saying that he did not come to bring peace, and to turn relative against relative. He is also reported as reacting violently against merchants who had invaded a temple.
Psychologically, we know the effect of physical punishment on a person's mental health. So, yes, we should avoid falling prey of physical abuse in the name of pacifism. Some offenders deserve double the blow.
