Dont transfer it. If you go to the chat page on Byte, you see an auto chatbot for converting the byte in your wallet into bitcoin automatically. They will just need a bitcoin address. If you log into blocktrades throigh Steem, and tell them its a bitcoin to Steem conversion, they will give you an address to send the bitcoin to. Then when the byte chatbot asks, give them this address. This will then alow you to send the byte, via the chatbot and blocktrades straight into your steem (or sbd) account.
Dont worry, the chatbot on byte is excellent and the process is much easier than it sounds! Hope this helps :-)
