You are right I am entitled to my own opinion but that is not what we are discussing. One of the many things that differs between science and religion is that religion is about what you believe. Science is about observation. It does not say "this is true, it has and always will be" it instead says "All of what i have seen thus far has pointed towards this
Yes there are scientists with beliefs. Yes both science and religion have aspects of faith but there is no faith in The Theory of Gravity, General Relativity, or Ohm's Law. These are tools which help humanity discern how the world in which we live in works, and thus how we work and relate to that world.
The faith aspect of science comes purely from the trust in the scientific method. Not Nikola Tesla, Niels Bohr and Carl Sagan, they do not evoke faith. Not the Big Bang Theory, or Theory of Evolution.
“Religion is based on faith. Science is based on faith. So science is a religion.”
"All students carry backpacks; Professor X carries a backpack; So Prof. X is a student."
"Bill Gates is rich; Vladimir Putin is rich; So Gates is Putin."
Well you're entitied to your own opinion, but if you think about it, it actually is.
