It's kinda funny that some of the people I see criticizing Elon Musk's plan to sue the ADL for defamation and tortious interference seem to have no problem with the fact that that's literally the ADL's entire existence. The Anti-Defamation League uses lawsuits like this to prevent people from saying things they don't like all the time.
Like most corporate lawsuits, I don't have a personal stake in the outcome and don't particularly care one way or another, but watching people say that defamation suits shouldn't even be a possible under the First Amendment and that there's no legitimate tort to speak of is pretty jarring when the ADL is really just getting hoisted by its own petard.
