The new year is almost far spent but it’s never too late to either make projections into the new year or look back at the past year to identify those areas of your life which need corrections.

This year 2018 started on a very good note for me I must confess, all thanks to steemit. Got my first new year gift of $10 in a comment I made on @greenman’s post at exactly 10 minutes into the new year. I was really excited about that and many more of such followed.

Looking back at my experiences last year, I lost a lot not to be grateful for the opportunity steemit has given to me this year. All that Ponzi has stolen from me, steemit is gradually returning. Let’s relax with a chilled bottle of soft drink as I take you through the three basic items this post is meant to reflect.

My expectations for the year 2018

My expectations for this year are numerous but I will just get to let out the most important ones. First of all, I need to strengthen my relationship with my creator, God. He is the ultimate reason I am here today. He was with me through my trying times last year and has led me by the hand and brought me where I am today, yet I let him down on a daily basis. Secondly, I need a new job. My present job doesn’t grant me the job satisfaction I desire as a graduate of Electrical Engineering so I am currently on the search for a new and better one and I hope to achieve that before the year runs out. Finally, I need to become a whale on steemit, not necessarily for my own personal gain but so that I can be heard just like @surpassinggoolge and many other whales on steemit. Being a whale attracts people to your blog and having that leverage gives you the privilege of impacting in the lives of a larger audience.

Things I hope to complete before the year runs out

Like I said above, I would love to get a better job before this year runs out. I am also currently looking at processing and starting my Masters degree program but funding is a major problem. If I can acquire the necessary funds I need before this year runs out in order that I may have a stress free Masters program, I would say that’s already the first part of a great feat achieved. Before this year runs out, I am looking at inviting over a hundred persons to this great platform because It wouldn’t be nice to have gained a lot from steemit and keep it to myself. The world has to hear and join me in this great experience.

What I couldn’t achieve last year but hope to achieve this year.

Well, funny enough the year isn’t a quarter gone and I have started achieving way more than I did last year already. Thanks to steemit.

As at last year I was squatting with a friend because I couldn’t get a place of my own due to lack of funding. That has changed now as I have moved into my own apartment. Last year I never envisaged being a good writer because I hated reading articles and writing was a big problem for me but that has changed now, steemit made the change possible.

I will stop right here so I don’t get to bore you with my stories but to crown this up, I would say that steemit has thought me two basic things in life and that’s PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE. It has thought me never to give up and that’s one thing I will carry on for the rest of my life.
