SH(22) about my hobby

in my •  7 years ago

From my childhood, reading books was my hobby. Undoubtedly, I enjoyed it the most. I grew up reading classics like Feluda, Kakababu, Byomkesh Bakshi and many more. They were my heroes. When I stepped into adolescence, characters like Himu and Misir Ali became my favourite. It was books that gave me immense pleasure. It made me laugh and cry. I never felt alone or depressed when I had a new book in my shelf. But things have changed. Most of the books are printed in offset papers. The book covers are nice and attractive. But it costs almost double to triple. Belonging to a middle class family it is tough for me to spend so much on books. Especially when I am living in a society where reading books is sometimes considered a luxury. And yes, I miss reading books. Not so nicely covered, printed in newspaper, the books I grew up..
