i joined steemit in june 2017, i haven't celebrated an annivesary yet, though i havent posted much through out that time, i still have some post i made that i think are top notch.

STEEM DOLLARS "GONE ROGUE":SBD PUMP AND ITS IMPLICATION FOR STEEMIT PLATFORM ?

i wrote this post just last month when SBD had suddenly taken flight from its pegged value of $1 to an all time astonishing high of up to $24 in some exchanges. sbd right now is at about $6, still more than its originally ascribed pegged value, some say its a pump and that steps are being taken to bring it down to the dollar pegged value but i couldn't help but wonder if SBD is finding it true value and if truly a crypto currency can really be pegged, whatever happens only time will tell.

bitcoin has been termed king of crypto currencies because it was the first successful blockchain virtual currency project, because of this fact,other altcoins have been greatly impacted by it and it has dominated the market capitalization of crypto currencies, on this post i discussed about practical steps that can possibly give steem the independence it needs from bitcoin.

for the benefit of new steemians who could get to read this post,steemfest is a yearly convention for all steemians organized by @roelandp, this post was an entry post for a steemfest 2 all paid expenses contest that was run by @stellabella, i didnt get to win the contest, @surpassinggoogle was the deserving winner,but i did get to bare out my mind into this post though, writing about my plans to change the world in my own way through steemit.

WHAT HAPPENS TO A CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTMENT IN EVENT OF SUDDEN DEMISE

this post was inspired by a true life happening, someone in the crypto group i belong in on telegram lamented how he lost his elder brother and how the family can't have access to the elder brother's crypto portfolio that ran into thousands of dollars. it got me thinking what the best way is to store crypto currency assets incase of sudden demise, i got some good advices in the comment section of the post that might be useful for anyone interested in the subject. have a read.

it would be quite a waste of time being on steemit if it didn't benefit us in more ways than one, this post was my attempt to highlight the most important ways steemit benefits the real active users of the platform.have a read and am sure you will agree completely with me on this points i made.
