Hello friends, early last month @rocking-dave started this challenge and contest where one is supposed to make a post about the best posts they wrote in 2017. This challenge was also a contest, you could win some SBD from him if he deemed your best 5 worthy.
The contest is ended now and I didn't get to participate unfortunately, and I was even nominated! Because @suesa-random had said in his own top5 post that whoever read it should see himself as nominated, and you bet I read it. But the challenge is still on, and then again I am also in strong support of revisiting old posts that are worthwhile. I don't think any writer who put some effort into his writing would wish that his write-ups only stay relevant for 7 days. I for one keep appropriately sharing the links of my posts that I like to people whether they are Steemians or not, in order to entertain them and let them read and give me feedbacks because all my write-ups are dear to my heart!
So for the above and for more, I hereby participate in this challenge and present my best posts for the year 2017. Please read the ones that interest you and you could give feedbacks. Thank you! 😁
It is worthy of note that I joined in July and was usually busy and didn't get to post as much as was supposed to, but I did post! Posts I really love. And I have a lot in store for 2018 😁😁
1. Funny African Customs #1
This is a post from a series I started in December last year, I still plan on continuing it this very month though so you'll have to watch out for it. The series sees me talking about funny African customs that I know and have experienced. Some times the custom may not be funny on its own but I'll show you, in my posts, the situations where the humour in that custom would be revealed. 😁
In this first edition, it was about a young sleep walking African boy whose custom does not permit it's indigenes to eat half or parts of small animals like rabbits. If an indigene ever wanted to eat one he had to eat a full one. One day, through circumstances described in the post, the boy eats half of a mouse while sleep-moving. The next day he had to contend with the dictates of his people's traditions .😁

2. My Little Adventure On A Quest For Good Music
In this post I narrated an experience of mine with the Nigerian Security Agencies in my quest to listen to good music while in a bus.
Here's one of the introductory paragraphs:
Now, the country Nigeria has been faced with some serious security challenges recently. In this 21st Century, Nigeria has faced its toughest security challenges yet.
Now I know I've been hitting the gym a lot in this 21st century (Cos, man, this is the century I reached teen age) and I've been developing a lot of physical threats on my arms and chest
But I'm not one of the security challenges that Nigeria (my Country) is facing (Although the Nigerian Government is supposed to pay more closer attention to me cos I can whoop a homeboy's ass in a minute!)

3. The Type Of Girls You Should And Shouldn't Date
Recently I've been asking myself if I love my Steemit male friends and followers, I realised that the answer is "yes". Another question then resulted from this answer, which is: " @nevies, what have you done to show this professed love to your male friends/followers here on Steemit?" It was painful as it became clear that I'm doing almost nothing for them apart from some humourous posts here and there. So I've been thinking of a landmark thing I can do to spread my love to all allies and male comrades here on Steemit and I came up with a great idea that would change the world. Here is it, the love I'll send to y'all, it would be in form of a great lifetime advice. It is about the type of girls that you should and should not date. So without further ado lets get to it.

4. I Have Been Teaching My Kid Brothers How To Write Poetry, Now Look At What They Have Done + Teach Your Little Ones To Write Early In Life
Hello there good Steemians (and the not so good ones too. Lol), please join me take a look at what I and my kid brothers have been doing recently. Have we been plotting a coup? 5. The Name Of Jesus According To The Christian Faith Is Very Powerful: But Is There Really A Name For Jesus, When Almost Every Language Has A Different Name For Him?
(Here I was trying to be philosophical. Here me reason, pls.)
It is of course very common knowledge to everyone who is very familiar with the Christian faith that the name of Jesus is (and is seen as) a very powerful name that has a tremendous effect on things and can do a lot of wonders and miracles when called.
We can see the part of the Bible which makes this proposition most pointedly: Philippians Chapter 2 verse 9-11 which...
