မေရာက္ျဖစ္တာၾကာျပီျဖစ္တ့ဲ ဇာတိေျမေလးကို ျပန္ေရာက္ခ့ဲပါတယ္။ ေရာက္လာဖို႕လည္း အေၾကာင္းကလည္း ဖန္လာသည္ ဇာတိေျမတြင္ ဓားမဦးခ် ေနထိုင္ခ့ဲေသာ မိခင္၏ ေမာင္ျဖစ္သူ တစ္ဦးတည္းေသာ ဦးေလးသည္ လြန္ခ့ဲသည့္ တလခန္႔က ကြယ္လြန္သြားျပီ ျဖစ္သျဖင့္ က်န္ရစ္သူ ေဆြမ်ိဳးရင္းခ်ာမ်ားကို အေမြဆက္ခံခြင့္ေပးရန္ အေၾကာင္းၾကားစာ ရရွိသည္မွ စတင္ပါသည္။ မိခင္ျဖစ္သူတြင္ ေမာင္ႏွမ အရင္းအခ်ာဆို၍ ဦးေလးတစ္ေယာက္သာရွိျပီး ဦးေလး ျဖစ္သူသည္ တစ္ရြာထဲေန သူႏွင့္ အိမ္ေထာင္က်ကာ ဦးေလး၏ ဇနီးသည္မွာ ေစာစီးစြာပင္ ကြယ္လြန္သြားေလသည္။ အေမြဆက္ခံရန္ သားသမီးမ်ား မက်န္သည့္ အျပင္ ဦးေလးသည္ ေနာက္အိမ္ေထာင္လည္း ထပ္မျပဳခ့ဲေပ။

ဦးေလး ပိုင္ဆိုင္ေသာ လယ္မ်ား သစ္သီးျခံမ်ား အိမ္ျခံႏွင့္ အတြင္းပစၥည္း လက္ဝတ္ရတနာမ်ားကို အေမြဆက္ခံရန္အတြက္ ဦးေလး၏ ေရွ႕ေနသည္ က်မတို႕သားအမိႏွင့္ ဆက္သြယ္ခ့ဲျခင္းျဖစ္သည္။ က်မ၏ ေမေမသည္လည္း လြန္ခ့ဲေသာ တစ္ႏွစ္ခန္႕က ကြယ္လြန္သြားျပီျဖစ္ရာ တစ္ဦးတည္းေသာ သမီး က်မ သာလ်ွင္ အေမြဆက္ခံပိုင္ခြင့္ ရရွိသူ ျဖစ္ေလသည္။ ေမေမတို႕ ေမာင္ႏွမသည္ ေမေမ သက္ရွိထင္ရွား ရွိစဥ္က အဆက္အသြယ္ မရွိေပ။ အဘယ္ေၾကာင့္ဆိုေသာ္ ေမေမသည္ အဖိုး အဘြားမ်ား သေဘာမတူေသာ ဖခင္ျဖစ္သူႏွင့္ အေၾကာင္းပါခ့ဲသျဖင့္ အဆက္အသြယ္ မလုပ္ရဲခ့ဲဘဲ ဖခင္ျဖစ္သူ၏ ေမြးရပ္ ဧရာဝတီ ျမစ္ဝက်ြန္းေပၚေဒသသို႕ လိုက္ပါသြားခ့ဲပါသည္။

ထိုေဒသမွတဆင့္ က်မကို ေမြးဖြားျပီး ရန္ကုန္ျမိဳ႕သို႕ တက္လာခ့ဲေလသည္။ ရန္ကုန္တြင္ အလုပ္အကိုင္ေကာင္းသျဖင့္ ေဖေဖ၏ ေမြးရပ္သို႕ မျပန္က်ေတာ့ဘဲ ရန္ကုန္တြင္ပင္ အေျခခ်ေနထိုင္ခ့ဲက်ေလသည္။ ေဖေဖသည္ ကားဝပ္ေရွာ့တစ္ခုတြင္ အလုပ္ဝင္ကာ အလုပ္ၾကိဳးစားသည့္အျပင္ အေသာက္အစားကင္းသျဖင့္ ပိုင္ရွင္၏ ခ်စ္ခင္မႈကို အထူးရေလသည္။ ႏွစ္အနည္းငယ္အၾကာတြင္ ေငြေၾကးအနည္းငယ္စုေဆာင္းမိကာ ေရေဆးဆီလိုက္ လုပ္ငန္းေလးစတင္ထူေထာင္ရာမွ မၾကာမီပင္ ဝပ္ေရွာ့ အေသးစားေလး ထူေထာင္ႏိုင္ခ့ဲေလသည္။ ထိုမွတဆင့္ ေဖေဖ့ သူေဌး၏ အကူအညီျဖင့္ လုပ္ငန္းထူေထာင္ႏိုင္လာေလသည္။
