Kahtein Festival is held annually. after the duration between the Full Moon Day of Thadingyut and the Full Moon Day of Tazaungmone.
"Kahtain" comes from parli word "KaHtiNa"That "KhHtiNa" which means enduring and other sides deliverance.
KaHtain festival is a religious festival during which Myanmar people offer Kahtein robes, alms and other necessary items to the monks. Offering and donation of Kahtein tree (Padaytharpin ) is also one of the popular KaHtain donation materials in Myanmar.
