Hi friends,
This post is an entry into the Weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @socalsteemit where we share an aspect of our California.
As you may know, Southern California had some devastating and unprecedented wildfires a few months ago. I found myself close by one of the hard hit areas - Altadena - so I decided to drive through the neighborhood... very sad scene:
Pictures do not do it justice, but much of the city was wiped out overnight, though most lives were spared. There has been non stop trucking activity going to clear debris from the area, and many crews are there with heavy equipment. There are biohazard issues as well, so it is a tough spot to be in, and the rebuilding will take years. Sad.
Thanks for coming by and checking out a piece of my California.
Brian

I heard the news, but at least it is already being worked on. It will take time, as you say, but they are working on it, which is the most important thing.
