Hi friends,
This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @socalsteemit where we share an aspect of our California.
The region of Southern California that I live in has a history of citrus growth in the early settlement days in the area. Now a days, there is much less agriculture, and more housing, but many people grow their own items at their house. I took a walk, and here are some of the items that are currently ready to be harvested:
These pomegranates were way high up - will be difficult to pick harvest them without large extended poles!
I didn’t see any avocados, but those are also being picked right now and some of our friends have given a bunch to us.
Thanks for coming by and checking out a piece of my California.
Brian
Thank you for showing us a part of your California, I like when you say that they are given farm products, let me explain, in cities it is difficult for a person to give you something, but in the fields, crops, etc., people are supportive, that is how it should be in all parts, it would possibly bring people closer together and there would not be so much envy, hatred, conflicts, etc.
I wish you a happy start to the week

California is one of the best states to live in the USA. You are very lucky! I am sure that all these citrus fruits are very tasty. Are bananas grown in California?
