I know there are lots of mobile apps and great tools to track expenses, budgets and everything. Today, reading an article: How I visualize my money from the daily finance selection posts of Rockstar Finance. I realice that is always important to make your own spreadsheet/tracking system. Why? you might ask. There are more specialized and better apps, I guess you are right. But how many of them are made for you?
I've my own spreadsheet for certain things. I know most of the FIRE articles are USA related, some things does not make sense for my situation. can get 9% of interest for a CD but inflation is about 5%. Anyways I just wanted to share this graph that is generated for my mortgage and It helps me see how paying a bit more than minimum has saved me almost 60 thousand USD in the 25 years contract.
Red line is what I should pay, blue line is what my past payments will get me to when I'm done (hopefully it will move towards the left more)
