Today we took a venture out to Hermosa beach pier, and we did some light tackle fishing. Today I took out my daiwa revros combo and purchased a sabiki and did some bait fishing for fun. With a joined effort of me and my dad and a friend from the pier, we managed to land quite a few mackerel and a couple of sardines, which will be preserved for bait to catch other fish.
Here is everything we caught in total:
Here is an up close of the wild caught pacific sardines (great bait btw)
Here is an upclose of the jack mackerel
And the rest of the fish are regular chub mackerel (pacific mackerel). Today was a pretty decent day on the pier, no giants, but still a great day. It's all about getting out and wetting a line. Sometimes, all that matters is connecting with nature and god.
Nice catch!
