It's a beautiful Sunday morning filled with feelings of blissfulness and contentment. What ever could be the reason for such on this glorious a day?
Have you ever just woke up feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? That just ruins your entire day on the spot doesn't it?
A while ago I read a post on Facebook that stated that how we start our day is how our day will end. I say the battle of the day is either won or lost within the first minute of you opening your eyes in the morning. So make sure you wake up on the winning side of the bed.
How do you feel getting out of bed on most day?
Our psychological state of mind in the morning is dependent on many factors. Some of these factors are external and out of our control. These could be the weather, noises coming from outside, your spouse or partner laying next to you, colour of your bedroom, water intake and the sunlight coming in and so forth.
The internal factors could be sleep itself, stress, mindfulness, thoughts, ect.
Let's break some of these factors down a little bit
External factors
The weather affects almost everyone's mood in the morning. Imagine that you were planning to wear that sexy little number you bought the other day to work today but then you woke up to a windy rainy morning. Day ruined!
You've set your alarm for 5:45 am. You are having an amazing dream about being stranded on an exotic island where you are treated like royalty by the locals and then all of a sudden a loud BANG wakes you up! What on earth could it be? That's just your neighbour clearing out his garage at 4 am. He's kinda weird like that. Now you can't fall back to sleep and have to wake up an hour and forty-five minutes earlier. Day ruined!
You open your eyes with a smile and the first thing you see is your partner starring daggers at you. Why are they upset? You forgot to do something last night after work that you promised you would do. To them it's really important. Your lack of remembering shows how uncaring you are towards them. Now you know you're going to have to make it up to them the entire day at the expense of your plans for that day. Day ruined!
You went out for a few drinks last night with your mates and neglected to drink any water hours before and during the partying. You wake the next morning needing to urinate urgently. You get to the toilet and start peeing. What comes out? A golden liquid that smells awful and kinda stings a bit coming out. Day ruined!
Internal factors
- Sleep is crucial to our sleep but you decided you could do with less of it this week. Why? You want to impress your boss by finishing a one month task in one week. Or you're in a new relationship and you spend the entire night chatting for the whole week. Sleep regulates every cell of our bodies and without it we start our day looking and feeling like zombies. Day ruined!
- Stress is a nasty old couple that gives you grief any chance they get because you are their tenant and they know you have no where else to go because all other accommodation is spoken for. Overthinking things usually leads to anxiety and we feel hopeless in the situation which affects our entire state of being. finding some useful stress relief exercise could do wonders for you if you cannot afford counselling. Having someone who could lend you a sympathetic ear could also be all you need. Don't let it ruin your day.

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DECIDE HOW TO ACT AND REACT TO THE EXTERNAL WORLD! Don't waste your mind and thoughts on things that take away from your life. Choose to focus on this that add value.
I hope this post brought on a little smile to your face. Sometimes we just have to be silly to cope with the daily grand we are on. Just take a moment from it all and just laugh! You'll expend your life expectancy by 50% I tell you :)

Great reminder that we should do whatever we can to make sure we wake up pleasantly. Some people now us alarms that gradually wake a person up with music or water flowing or something else pleasant. That can set a person on the right path for a wonderful day.

That's actually a wonderful alarm tool. Some people are woken by loud violent alarm sounds and wake up angry because of them. Gentle and gradual alarm sounds are perfect.
