A day with the Zealous Widow ; My picture day Submission

in mypictureday •  7 years ago

While on my vacation in my home town in Owerri State, Nigeria. While trying to stay out of the heat of the sun in the evening of a sunny Wednesday after a rigorous negotiation with the Eze of Ezi-Ogbako on the acquisition of half hectare of land for my proposed Palm kernel plantation. I had an encounter with a rear independent widow who sales plantain to carter for her needs and welfare development of her 5 years old daughter. Her husband died while rushing to the hospital on the birth of little Chiamaka. Since the death of her husband she has been using her late husband land to cultivate plantain. On the very day she was clearing and preparing the land to expand her plantation. After hearing her story, I decided to take a picture of her to share with the world as an encouragement to women out there that they can be successful without depending on men.

The following picture were taken with my Infinix Note 4 Smart Phone.
