The legend tells…
Orpheus' wife died after being bitten by a snake, Orpheus decided to get her back and went to the underworld of Hades. Legends say that this is the Devil's Throat. Impressed by Orpheus' incredible melodies, Hades finally agreed to return his wife to the world of the living. The condition was that Orpheus, when ascending to the upper world, should not turn his head back. Just before they reached the ground, Orpheus decided to turn around to make sure that Eurydice was after him... and at that moment she sank to the bottom of the earth. After this second loss of his beloved wife, Orpheus was devastated. He cried a lot and a spring gushed out of his tears, which can still be seen in the cave today.

The entrance to the cave is artificial, an artificially dug tunnel, after which you enter the Rumbling Hall, so called because of the roar with which the water of the river falls from a height of 42 m. This is the highest underground waterfall in the Balkans.
