The spiritual mystery of Jesus: Rabbi, we know that you have arrived as a teacher from God. John 3:2

The Gospel of John recounts one of the most mysterious moments of Jesus, the meeting of the divine master with Nicodemus, a teacher of the law of Moses, and probably a devout follower of the Lord along with Joseph of Arimathea. And Jesus in this encounter spoke about that hidden treasure and that pearl of great price that when is found by the soul, gives to man a new birth to a new spiritual life which is the spiritual gift of eternal life (contemplative meditation). And this is perhaps the most misunderstood mystery of the life according to the spirit, the righteous life ("Do for others what you want them to do for you" Matthew 7:12), in the doctrine of the kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections.
Nicodemus, the Gospel of John relates, came at night to see the teacher Jesus when he had begun his public activity in the region of Galilee, and probably moved by spiritual curiosity Nicodemus addressed a few words to Jesus: "Rabbi, we know that you have arrived as a teacher from God. For no one would be able to accomplish these signs, which you accomplish, unless God were with him" John 3:2.
And so Jesus began to speak of the second baptism and of what makes men like God, as the gospel explains: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48. But Nicodemus was a rational man, a man who deeply understood the law of Moses, but all this was not enough to understand the words of the teacher who spoke of a new spiritual reality, because the Kingdom of God as expressed in the parables, does not respond to a set of imperatives or orders but to a new type of freedom and citizenship, because in essence the Kingdom of God is the inner transformation of man towards his state of completeness or integrity, and this can only occur by the grace of God and not by the mere efforts of man.
This is why, faced with Nicodemus' skepticism, Lord Jesus told him some words with a profound spiritual meaning: "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" John 3:3.
