My Super Woman

in mysuperwoman •  7 years ago

It is not easy to write about my superwoman in not more than 200 words as there are so many to write about her, nonetheless, will still give it a go for this challenge by @jasladin because superwomen are meant to be known. Thank you @jasladin - in conjunction with International Women's Day.

My mother who is with me through thin and thick, even during my 1st childbirth, she was there to motivate me to push.

I remembered every ounces of strength she portrayed in front of us when we were young. She single-handedly took care of household. Without fail, she woke up early in the morning to finish all the housechores - cleaned the mugs/cups, boiled water, washed and hung the clothes, swept and mopped the floor, cleaned the house, prepared breakfast for us - all done in 2 hours - before she headed to work. Came home from work after exhaustive day, without complaining, she proceeded to cook our dinner. During meal time, she ate the stomach part of the fish, gave the good part to us. Sometimes she said she just wanted to eat vegetables and asked us to finish the meat. In bad times, I caught her eating small bowl plain rice in the middle of the night while told us during dinner time that she wasn't hungry and did not need to eat. She let us enjoy balanced meal while she ate simple food. Never a time she complained. I learned from her this value of strength. She is still as strong today. Sprained her ankle, she could still laugh about it and not fret. She is my mom - my superwoman.

Your mom is the living example of a mother's undying love for her children - you are blessed beyond measure.

Hi @imagendevoz. Sorry I totally missed out checking this post of mine. Hence overlooked all the comments here.

Yes indeed she is the living example for us 4 siblings.

One of the most optimistic women I know of her age. So good to read about her sacrificial story. Always admires her taste when she buys you clothes!

Kudos aunty! :)

Hi @happycrazycon. Sorry I totally missed out checking this post of mine. Hence overlooked all the comments here. I will tell her that. She always thought the clothes she bought would make me like aunty but I wear as long as they are not tight.

She has given you the world and not only that - she's is continuing to do that her entire life. Moms are moms. No wonder why it sounds a lot like ohms (the sound monks meditate to).

Hi @spellmaker. Sorry I totally missed out checking this post of mine. Hence overlooked all the comments here. Haha. You can relate the sound to ohms.

Now that is a real superwoman! You have described your superwoman mom in great detail - it is really touching to see her sacrificing so much for the happiness of her children. Difficult to find too many moms like that nowadays.
