I reviewed this book a few years ago Here and started to watch the TV series last night.
I really do need to read the book again because, for a change, the series seems to have a lot more detail than the book (as far as I remember).
I watched TWO episodes last night and would have watched more but all things in moderation (not really, I was too tired to watch any more and that would impact on my enjoyment).
I LOVE the story - Gods as physical entities are given their physical power because of humans' belief.
Terry Pratchett took that theory and ran with it too - GREAT idea!
I pegged Loki right off and Anansi is a character I remember from my childhood - Brer Rabbit
I'm looking forward to more of the series - I have to stop looking at the site I got the pictures from Here because, you know... SPOILERS!

Glad to see another fan of the book/series! Indeed, the series develops a bit more the story and the characters and gives more details, which is perfect. Actually, its the first time i prefer the series/movie rather than the book :) A great first season, striking visuals, great references and ideas, a must seen!
