Let's think about this truth for a second. Amazon has 1.8 Million books. Think how much information that is. Think of all the different subjects science, philosophy, mathematics, religious study, history, etc.... You see the information is endless. You can study for a lifetime on one subject and still find new information. Do you know what this means? It means if you measure intelligence by the amount of information you know you are stupid. You could never know even 5% of all the world's information. The plus side we are all stupid in this comparison. We can stop beating ourselves up for not knowing.
The greatest teachers are constant students. The leaders of industry are constantly learning through reading. When Warren Buffett was asked how to be successful he said
Read 500 pages every day. That's how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it. - Warren BuffetHe is known as one of the smartest businessmen of the 21st century and even he keeps learning.
Life is amazing when you realize you know practically nothing. It leaves you open to learn and explore. The moment you decide you know everything or most things you will be stuck. It's fine and dandy being an expert, but it's better playing dumb and learning as much as you can. My favorite part of this truth is it proves my truth series is also pointless. Here I am claiming to know things. When I actually know nothing.
I know I call this Truth 7 of 12, but really it should be "My Truth" 7 of 12. Truth in itself is actually an opinion. You may be asking then why are you stating truths. I need a foundation something to stand on. Something to measure against. If you measure against infinity nothing is real. I need the comfort of taking a stand and my truths will allow me to do that.
My fears and apprehensions with this are if I become a rock I will be met with force. I will lose friends and associates by taking a stand, but not every single person can be on your team or you have no team at all. To those, I lose from this series I say "God bless and I wish you a happy fulfilling life". I attempted being all-inclusive, but that turned me into something worthless. I look forward to the days when I'm simply asking questions again and not having to explain myself. By that time I may finally discover my team and find a place I can call home for my mind, heart, soul & spirit.
