Ward round ward round ward rounds..!!!we were all excited having been told when we were starting the ward rounds..now its time for us to see live patients and start feeling like doctors!!! We were impatiently waiting for the the"d"day!!!it was as if the days were getting long and delaying😊
Then came the day we have been anticipating!!!! As will be expected, selfies and photo shoots flooded our phones.it was an I saw!!! We had a lot of encounter with patients and most of the things we have been reading since, we became familiar with them!!!
Unfortunately, what started as a seemingly endless excitement and "jollyment" began to wane as we all gave way to boredom and lukewarmness... It became so boring that our attendance decreased drastically!!!
For me, it was not all a bad experience at all...I caught a lot of funs during the posting!!
Had better understanding of some hitherto confusing clinical cases. Had some nice times with top professors and consultants.. It was really educating and informative..
Finally, for all my friends that are about to start theirs few month's from now,please I enjoin you not to expect too much from the ward rounds as you may become disappointed and consequently boredom sets in!!!
Ward rounds time for me was actually an historic experience for me and I counted it a necessity to share it in this community..
