My submission for today's walk is pretty short. Just a trot around the garden. Minus the dogs, cats and kids. All photos are mine.
This is one of two turtles that I have in my small pond. He is sharing with hundreds of poliwags and the local birds that are using the pond as their personal bath tub.
The Sacuanjoche is the natonal flower of Nicaragua on grows on a small tree.
I said this would be a short walk! The reason is my big pooch, Fergie. He just has to follow me and cause havoc where ever he goes. Today he was being extra sucky. Here he is with our friend Ervin and best little buddy Brutus.

What a nice walk Ceci! I have to look up what a poliwag is .... we don't have those in Alberta 😂. I always wondered what that pretty white flower with a yellow center was called! Fell in love with them while in Hawaii at Christmas a few years ago. I have one for my Christmas tree! They are wonderful! Now to remember their name!! Haha Lotsa Love & Peace your way sister!! 💛💛💛

I am so sorry you are in the thick of such unrest. I will say prayers that you can enjoy the beach soon. The unrest is not so far away from any of us. Thanks for sharing that tidbit with me. He is a huge dog, Great Dane puppy. I hope he won't get much bigger. He was a rescue dog and he was a lot smaller then. He likes to protect me so he is always right next me or behind me, within inches of me.

I love those flowers! They are really unique looking. Almost like they were made out of clay! Are they a succulent plant?
Aw, I love turtles. We used to have them in ponds around where I grew up, but since I moved to Colorado I never see them besides as someone's pet. Though my parents did actually find one in their yard ...nowhere near water ...here, and nobody claimed a missing turtle, so my aunt adopted him. He must have been somebody's pet at some point, but how he could have gotten out, I don't know!

The flowers are beautiful and feel waxy to the touch. They have a wonderful fragrance too. They are not succulents but grow on a tree.
The turtles just started appearing in my garden. I think they were looking for water and found my ponds. There are land turtles that bury themselves in mud. They hibernate over winter and come out in spring. That may be the type that parent's found.
