New year's day: Harmattan had the temperature drop to 19 degrees, felt so cold.

It has been so cold lately, but this morning when I checked, temperature was 19 degrees. The weather felt so cold I had to put on a sweater to be active. At about middle of November I recorded temperature of 34 degrees and it was so hot that afternoon I couldn't keep the sweat off my face all day.

Some Nigerians I know wish they were in temperate regions when the heat during the hot season becomes unbearable. They believe that being in that cold weather would be better than the scorching sun around here. But I have come to realize from testimonies of tourists to those parts of the world that the cold is not for the weak. The cold weather encourages staying in bed wrapped up in those thick duvets. But, despite these scares, some of us still would not mind having an experience of the intensity of the cold.

Accompanied with the cold morning was the good feeling of starting a new year, knowing that the year will be filled with endless opportunities and achievements. Singing to songs on my phone as I did my chores, I could feel that the year would bring great accomplishments than years before.
