The end of the year has snuck right up on us. Only one month to go before we shed tears for 2017 and open our arms wide for 2018.
I live in Kenya. Since August this country has been on a standstill. It is a most annoying position to be in. Just waiting. Waiting to see if all hell breaks loose or if everyone gradually crawls back to positions of submission and live lives as they had a year or so ago.
According to official estimates, slightly less than 50 people have died since August in violence relating to those elections. Primarily by officers of the law "protecting" the citizenry with bullets.
Anyhow we hope for normalcy by next week. The president will still be the president and butterflies and songbirds will fill the skies while money falls from heaven. Bills hopefully, not coins. Coins would kill the butterflies and birds and possibly a few people.
If I'm lucky, I'll figure how to make money from art. Lots of it. Or I will figure how to make money from something else. I'm not obsessed with money, I just want more of it.
