Here is my first attempt to take part in an initiative suggested by @williambanks. The idea is simply to feature one of your followers and write a bit about them. I will try to start doing this semi-regularly, each time for a different follower. I was reminded of this initiative in a recent post by @papa-pepper. Thanks to both for keeping this alive!
Let’s Talk About @anarchyhasnogods
@anarchyhasnogods is one of the younger steemians I have talked with and was one of my earliest followers (number 26, I checked!). He certainly was an early positive force in my posting. However, his path on steemit has not been without its bumps. In his early days @anarchyhasnogods was a fairly frequent poster focusing on a variety of science and politics topics. Yet he ran into some troubles when posting about physics, and was criticized for not researching enough into the science of his more advanced physics posts.
@anarchyhasnogods didn’t react by getting angry or lashing out, no he stepped up his game and contacted @lemouth (a verified particle physicist and former researcher at CERN) and myself for advice on how to improve the quality of his postings. He then put the advice to good use and has gone to seek out primary research articles for better information in his posts and incorporated suggestions on organization, citations, and writing style of his posts. He has put in an inspiring amount of extra work to be able to provide the steemit community with blogs they can both enjoy and learn from.
Since then @anarchyhasnogods has put together a series of impressive blogs discussing various aspects of space:
The Life of Our Sun: a New Red Giant and the Death of Our Planet
Dark Matter: The Hidden Mass of the Universe
The Hot Jupiters of Other Worlds: Part One
In the past he had also been working on a very nice series describing some of the basics of physics:
Learning one dimensional motion using graphs
learning more one dimensional physics using some graphs
Learning kinematics and 2D physics
Learning energy and impulse in 2D
Power and electricity
Field forces: Gravity and Electromagnetism
@anarchyhasnogods has shown a great interest for science and a willingness to reach out to others for help. I feel he is an example of how promising the future of posting on steemit will be and is proof that being social and taking advantage of the opportunities our community possesses can lead to some great results.
I hope you will consider taking a look at his posts and give him a follow. If he keeps working as hard in the future as he has been, we will all be in store for some really great content!
Please consider helping some of your followers get more exposure, the more we all get to know one another the more chance great content will have to rise to the top of the trending pages!
I will be donating all steem and SBD proceeds generated from this post to @anarchyhasnogods in the form of steempower, as an encouragement to keep working hard and to keep trying to make the content that will help steemit grow and succeed.
If you like my work, please consider giving me a follow: @justtryme90. I am a PhD holding biochemist with a love for science. My science blog posts cover a range of topics in the biology/chemistry fields.
Thank you for your support of my work!
I love this concept. Thank you for pursuing it. I just followed @anarchyhasnogods, and I'll set a calendar reminder to do similar posts for some of my own followers on a regular schedule.
I can definitely understand how the quantity of posts would have declined as the quality increases. Research is time consuming. Especially for a topic like physics.

Awesome! Glad you are on board with the idea! I think it's nice because it shows that I do think about the people who follow me and leave comments. And at least in this way I can give them a little exposure back.

Thank you for the recommendation @justtryme90 - I will definitely be following @anarchyhasnogods His topics are right up my alley. :)

That's a great initiative! I should find the time to emphasize the work of some of my followers too.
I am personally following @anarchyhasnogods for some time, and I also criticized (a lot) about his physics posts, pointing out, sometimes probably a bit harshly I admit, mistakes and items to improve.
As a result, he now posts less, but the quality is way higher. He is interested by many topics, curious, and he is taking the time to check and get information on some topics.
To me, it is the kind of person that could do great in science in the future (if he decides that science should be his path).

@justtryme90 I agree with you @anarchyhasnogods has really stepped up his game since his early stuff. Great choice! Upvoted, promoted and resteemed! I was already following him.

You have done a wonderful job highlighting this author, showing us his progression and what he has brought to Steemit. This is an excellent piece.

Thank you @donkeypong, I will try to do this periodically for other people that follow me. Maybe 1 per month as I do not want to overwhelm my followers with content that deviates from why they follow me in the first place. I think that giving others some exposure is both good for them and the platform as a whole. We are a social network after all, always good to be more social :)

I just recently followed @anarchyhasnogods, and his name is why I read this post. This post by the way, comes from a very interesting idea that I must say I like. Kind of reminds me of the reporters that followed you around in Pokemon Emerald if you don't mind the odd analogy...

I'm down for a Pokemon analogy any day.
It's @williambanks idea, and hopefully it helps get @anarchyhasnogods a few extra follows :)
