Wait, if that “Hole” is black compared to its brighter surroundings does’t that make it therefore cooler? I thought inside the sun would be hotter. Why isn’t that black spot actually bright white if it is a hole on the surface. Yep I do realise the atmosphere of our sun is hotter than the surface, but that is ionised and opaque. Quick scientists, help me out here!
