What brought your interest into the Steemit Network?

In all honesty, what really brought me to Steem was the possibility to earn EASY MONEY!

I first stumbled upon this platform last December 2017 after a high-school friend of mine told me to try investing on Bitcoin. It was at that time when Bitcoins prices were soaring at around $20,000 and so it piqued my interest but is still somewhat skeptical all about it. I mean how can an intangible token be worth $20000 right? I might have bought a dozen character skins online but everytime I buy one I still can't help think that I am just throwing money away, much more buying a token/coin to God knows what it can do with it. So back then I still can't believe people would invest a lot of money on an intangible token like Bitcoin.

And so I did the next thing any stingy person would do. I tried to find a way to earn Bitcoin for FREE! And so I was introduced to the world of faucets, web mining, lottery and even to some "games" that pays you some BTC. Days after I stopped doing all those things as it was not just worth it. I don't want to spend my whole Christmas break proving I'm not a robot by solving captchas. And so I searched for another way and eventually one of the google search result lead me to this site.

After browsing Steemit that time, one thing I've noticed was that people are being rewarded for just about anything. Back then, DMania was the trend and so I still can't believe that users are getting $100+ for posting a meme and so I immediately joined Steemit and the rest of history. Although days after I joined this platform, I immediately realized how hard it is to survive without friends and/or investment lol

So yeah! I think what brought my interest to join Steem was the possibility of earning some EXTRA MONEY by just simply posting anything. Added with the fact that there are now many DApps built on top of Steem almost every week. It's no longer being rewarded for posting anything, but is starting to become being rewarded for doing anything.

I mean being rewarded for exercising through actifit? Being rewarded for playing some game like Steemmonsters? Being rewarded for posting pictures through Steepshot? Who wouldn't be interested in joining Steem? :)

My motivation was to get to know blockchain technology and maybe find out how they will evolve in the future.
Steem seems to be an entertaining way to find out. There are a lot of insightful and timely posts on all kinds of blockchain usecases and coins on Steemit.
Plus, Steem is an intersting example for a prof of stake implementation.

Since I've observed the whole crazyness I could never figure out what a proper application would be today and who would implement it.

To my mind, blockchain would be best suited to track ownership of assets which dont't trade that often - say a house.
And most important: the transaction can be way faster and cheaper since there is no need for middlemen and outdated processes.

I totally agree with everything you said. I don't even know what "blockchain" is when I first joined here. Thanks to some blog posts in here I began to understand even just a little bit as to how it all works.

And yeah me too! I am looking forward as to how this platform would evolve in the months to come. Especially next year after SMT is released.

So far Steem is doing great. A year ago we don't even have a working video streaming platform. Now we have at least two DTube and Vimm. Steem also have been penetrating Wordpress through Steempress. I have to say this blockchain compared to others is doing pretty well in terms of development. :)

Extra money was also one of the reasons I entered this platform. As time goes by, Irealized that money is not anymore the thing that makes my steemit experience interesting. This may sound like I am lying but I do not care about rewards anymore, which may also be a bad thing to me. I do not care about sbds and steems. I just want to write and write. Not on facebook because there are too many judgemental and negative people there. In here, everyone is so nice and good. You know what I mean. I just want to write with an audience who will listen. This platform is so nice. I am not embarrassed with my grammar, spellings because there are steemians who will help you. Improve you. They will be your friend. This answer is already so long.

In conclusion, I am here on this platform because I want to write confidently. Steemit is like schooling. This platform is awesome.

Same here really! I just want an outlet to express my thoughts and opinions about anything and Steem is the perfect platform to do all that. Compared to Facebook's negativities and trolls, Steem with its upvote/downvote button seems to do wonders. XD Well I am easily flattered so even when a spammer says "Nice Post" on my blog post I still can't help feel great about it which makes Steem much more better than any other platforms out there XD

I am not embarrassed with my grammar, spellings because there are steemians who will help you. Improve you. They will be your friend.

I think your grammar is much more better than mine honestly. :)

Wow! I do not know what is happening. 7 days ago and I have only read your reply today. Well, thank you. I hope our paths meet in steemit in the future.
