What can we do to move America forward strategically and reclaim a sense of normalcy and our national will to power? Many of my friends ask me these critical questions. Here are a few thoughts that occur to me.
Actions for Various Levels of National Leadership
The most important action that the various levels of national leadership can take is to start thinking, planning, and acting strategically. The multiple levels of political leadership include the president, vice president, cabinet secretaries, agency and department heads, senior leaders in the Senate and the House of Representatives, the 50 state governors, and city mayors across the country. The time for playing politics has long since passed if America is to survive as a sovereign nation. We must protect America at all costs because enemies abound in our world, and we live in dangerous times.
We must realize that every nation or group of countries, like the European Union, always act in their best interests. America must as well.
We live in an extremely complicated world made more so by the rise of big technology and politicized social media. I had hoped that one or more unifying events would bring Americans together. I now realize that that is not possible because of the extreme political views that divide America roughly into two halves. America needs a strategic plan.
One of the key actions related to a national strategy is for America to repatriate as many supply chains as possible. This action is necessary because of national security issues and because this return of key supply chains will promote the growth of jobs and expand our economy.
We must recognize that the People's Republic of China is not a benign member of the community of nations. America must counter China's "unrestricted warfare" practices with a national strategy that nullifies most of China's nefarious intentions.
Grassroots Actions For All American Citizens
All American citizens can take action in their spheres of life. I offer the following actions for consideration:
Do not buy any product made in China. To the extent possible, Buy American, even though there are cheaper products available. China (in reality, the Chinese Communist Party) has become an existential threat to free nations and democratic societies worldwide.
Disengage from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms that censor or constrain free speech. Explore other options that present themselves in the world of social media.
Stop watching the mainstream media and stop buying newspapers that violate journalistic best practices. The mainstream media has demonstrated for four years that it cannot be trusted to report the news objectively and truthfully.
Do not buy products or services from any American company that supports leftist or progressive agendas or programs that contravene American values.
Start discussion groups or study groups to gain a deeper understanding of the Founding of America and how unique the American experiment in self-governance is. Invite individuals from all generations, including Generation X, the Millennial Generations, and Generation Z.
Become familiar with the policy issues that will challenge America in the next five years or so. Educate yourself and your family on the pros and cons of both sides of all key issues.
Mentor the younger generations to enable them to make informed decisions regarding the future of America.
Boycott Hollywood movies and entertainment companies that normalize or sensationalize violence, conflict, or inappropriate behavior.
Vote out any politician who has a bridge, highway, airport, or facility named after him or her. Hold politicians accountable for their voting records.
Do your homework and never take the word of any politician regardless of where he or she sits on the political spectrum.
A Clarion Call To Action
I would ask all my readers to add suggested actions to this list and send your expanded version to your network of family and friends. We must take these actions at a grassroots level because the ruling elites (Democrats and Republicans) have destroyed our past, corrupted our present, and poisoned the way forward to our future. The time for concerted action is now. Do not be afraid. It is not over until the fat lady sings, and she has yet to climb the stairs. Do your part to create an action plan for America. We cannot leave it to the politicians to right the American Experiment.
