We Rescued Bees From A Woodpeckers Nest

Hey everyone, another feral honey bee rescue this time out of a woodpeckers nest. We still need to hive these lovely ladies, we shall do so soonest. It really is an incredible feeling saving bees destined for sure extermination I truly feel that this is one of the ultimate things anyone can do for the conservation of nature and our Planet. It is my goal, dream, aspiration and ambition to spread the word on the dire need for Honey Bee Conservation. A day at a time I am achieving this and where I fail to spread the word I manage to save the bees.

This was a swarm in a Wood Peckers nest a man called me up to come and collect as they were stinging folks. I gladly collected them and added them to our other 22 hives. We now have 23 hives and swarms in total, too exciting for words.

Be sure to stay tuned for more of my epic bee-keeping adventures.

Have a super sleep.

Cheer$;)

I think you should keep the hive in the log. I have read about how bee's are stronger in natural living conditions like logs. The theory is the decomposition of the log provides probiotics and a more familiar living situation then the Western style hive box. Only problem is access to the honey. What do you plan on doing?

Hey so glad you popped in thanks for all the support. Sadly we cant do that as you say we wont be able to manage bees or harvest the honey. Good point you made though. They make propolis too which is a fantastic antibiotic but I shall keep you posted . We have 23 hives more than half we have extracted from these types of residences they doing great. Today we get one from a pool pump house ; ) Cheer$; )

Very cool. What kind of bees do you have?

This is really cool.

I only seen a bee in person, once in my life (and someone had to point it out to me)

I'm sure Mother Nature loves you for this.

Keep taking care of the environment
