INSINUATIONS AND ASSUMPTIONS AND ITS CONSEQUENCIES
ON HUMAN LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS
I really blame the person who brought these words into existence because it is really doing more harm than good to the lives of people, and relationships especially. It has gone a long way to collapse people’s relationships as well as preventing good things from coming to people’s life. One thing you should know is that insinuations are not factual statements or thinking, rather assumptions which can be negative or positive and can be true or false, irrespective of the circumstances or the conditions with which it occur. In the law court, insinuations are baseless. If as a person and you always draw your conclusions based on assumptions, then I think you don’t really understand yourself and life as well, hence doing yourself more harm than good.

There have been many instances where insinuations have ruined many relationship and lives of people. For instance, there was a guy named Simons who owed his colleague called Chris, Ghc300 back in the university during their last semester in school, but Chris didn’t immediately ask him to pay back, because he was financially stable at the time. They finally completed school and had their graduation but still, Chris didn’t ask for his money to be paid and neither did Simons see reason to pay though he had not been asked to. Few months later, they started their National Services. Simons was posted to Takoradi and Chris was posted to Cape Coast. One day Chris called Simons to ask him about his money and when it would be paid. After their conversation and agreeing on a day to be pay back, Simons refused to pick up Chris’s call anytime he called him, “insinuating”, he was calling because of the money he owed him, and even went to the extent of not picking strange calls, thinking it might be him who will be using a different number to call, since he was not picking his calls.

This went on, and on and on until one day Simons decided to pick his call to listen to what he had to say. As soon as he picked the call, he was very honest by first saying, and I quote “boy sake of the coin I day owe you...That be why I no day fi pick up your calls, boy man make slow ooo that be why”. Meaning, he wasn’t having money to pay him back, that was why he was not picking his calls.”Far from” that said Chris,” I was even calling because a friend of mine offered me a part time job on Saturdays and Sundays, for a pay of Gh950 for three months in Takoradi, but since I base in Cape Coast now I couldn’t accept it, so I wanted you to go for it, but you never picked whenever I called. I in turn gave him your number to call you, but you refused to pick his calls either”. Simons was just short of words on the phone, he hanged up in pain and disgrace and really hated himself that whole day. Hmm, you see life, and where insinuations led Simon to lose such opportunity. “The falling dry leaves should be a warning to the living green ones”.
Another on the relationship situation, there was a young successful business man who had his own company and manages it himself. This man was heart broken a short while back, but he decided to open his doors widely to welcome every lady and make more female friends in other to take his time, to single out the right and most dedicated one and make her his wedded wife. So at his workplace this guy being the manager allowed his female friends to come visit him one after the other during lunch hours any day. This made his secretary insinuate that his manager was probably a womanizer.
One day a nice looking lady walked into the manager’s office with her application letter seeking for a job as an accountant. The company’s accountant as at the time had gone on 5months leave so the manager employed this lady as a temporal worker upon going through her CV. As time went by this lady turned out to be so hard working and even won the best worker for the first two months. Since the lady was reporting to the manager directly, rather than the normal hierarchical routine, the manager began having feelings for the lady. This continued on and on until the manager couldn’t help it anymore, so he made his intentions known to the lady and told her he wants to marry her. The lady turned down his proposal and went and told her secretary friend about what the manager had told her, and that she turned down his proposal, because to her, she was scared people will say that she came to work, and now wants to have an affair with the manager. The secretary also told her its better she turned down his proposal, because he was a serious womanizer, and this even worsened the manager’s chances of winning the lady’s love.
Few days later, the manager bought the lady flowers, sent it to her office personally and asked her out on a date. The lady rejected it and reacted in a very hostile manner, and told him she wasn’t interested, and that if he doesn’t stop pursuing her she would ask for her office to be changed so that it will be difficult for him to come and see her, since her office was close to his, or better still will quit the job and go. So he stopped for a while and started pursuing her again because he was already in love with her and couldn’t help it, and this made the lady very angry and she subsequently resigned.

Few weeks after the lady resigned, the company’s finances became very unstable, so the manager was forced to go and apologize to the lady and ask her to return to the company. So he went to the lady’s house and in the presence of her mother, begged her to return to work and promised her he will never pursue or even stalk her again. The lady accepted the apology and also promised to resume work the next Monday. Indeed she reported to work as she promised. When the manager came to work and saw her, he called her to his office and told her there had been some few changes and new rules. Her office was relocated to the ground floor, and should no longer report directly to him, but do so through the director, and then the director will report to him. They hardly saw each other as time went by due to the distance that was created between them. The lady started acting weird afterwards. She started stalking the manager and drove behind him anytime they closed from work till he entered his house. Now, what do you think is happening?
One day the lady barged into the manager’s office without knocking to make a report to him about something, and met a lady sitting on his laps. This made the manager very angry who insulted her and questioned her as to why she was coming to report to him while she had been instructed to report to the director instead and moreover, refusing to even knock before entering. This really ruined the lady’s day and made her close very early that day. The lady cried all night. Now the question here is, was she really crying because of the insult or something else? The lady went to work the next day and realized his manager didn’t come to work. On her way for her lunch break, she saw his car passing, and inside it, was her manager and another lady, they were playing loud music and having fun in the car. This made the lady so devastated and more worried. So she decided to use he not coming to work as an opportunity to go see him at his house to find out why he was not at work. When the lady got to his house, she met him sitting in his garden relaxing. The manager asked her about her reason of being at his house, because he doesn’t remember inviting her over and seeing each other alone even ends at the office. She told him she came to find out why he was not able to come to work that day. This made him very pissed and ask her, what right she had to come to his house and ask him that, while he was the owner of the company. He then warned her never to stalk him again because she also didn’t like that either and ordered her out of his house in a cold manner. Tears just flowed from the lady’s eyes. On her way out she paused and turned; running back towards him in tears and forcefully hugged and kissed him and told him she was in love with him. Aww! What a pity!!
The manager was surprised and short of words. He then asked her why she treated him that way when he proposed to her, and she told him, she was just scared of what people will say about dating her manager and moreover, she was told he was a serious womanizer. He was very shocked to hear that. He also then explained his side of the story as to why he was always hanging around with different ladies at different times and places. The lady couldn’t stop crying upon hearing him out, and thereafter, he knelt down before her and proposed marriage to her, she accepted it and promised to love him with her whole being and make him forget his past once and for all. So you see how insinuations on the side of the secretary almost led the lady into losing her future husband.

This is what is really happening to us nowadays. Young men and women commit such mistakes in life, allowing their insinuations to lead them, thereby basing on that to committing so many mistakes in life. Some ladies and women (vice versa) have called off their surviving relationships and marriages respectively, just because of some insinuations they had about their guys and husband (vice versa). Instances like, a lady hears another female voice at the background when talking to her partner on the phone or vice versa, becomes a big issue and a different story all together. Missing numerous calls from your girlfriend or boyfriend… then insinuation sets in, that you are probably with someone else ( another girl or boy ) that was why you weren’t picking up the calls, whiles it could be a thousand and one positive reasons as to why he or she missed the calls. When your husband or wife becomes a little close with some of his female or male employees or give a female or male co-worker a lift home and you see it, then you begin to insinuate something might be going on between them, then you start setting fire into your own household, really?? You are rather giving him or her that mentality and pushing him or her away instead. Indeed your insinuations may be correct at times though, but the way you handle it is what matters.

One thing you should know is that our GOD IS A SINCERE ONE, if you are really a sincere and faithful person and your partner is even the opposite, and he or she finds excuses to give to counter your suspicions just have patience and wait upon the Lord. One day, his or her cup will be full and will be caught right in the act, and trust me, the way you treat people, has a funny way of coming back to you, he or she will surely get his or her deserved punishment. - That time would not be too late as u might be thinking, but rather the beginning of your success for been fooled, rather than making conclusions without proof, to accuse or take decisions that will go a long way to hurt the other. Remember patience is all that matters, because if you are patient in one moment of your anger, you escape a hundred days of sorrow.

Never allow insinuations to take dominion over you, and lead you to commit certain irrecoverable mistakes of your life. Try to avoid using the sentence “I think that. “You think that what? Please never think for someone, are you GOD? Just stop been judgmental and always allow time to take its full cause. Just have positive mind for your partners and help them in doing the right thing all the time and not thinking negative for them always. Now think about this, even you being his or her partner is thinking negative about him or her… how much more outsiders, what will they also think. Will you even be able to defend him or her outside, in case people think negative for him or her? Protect your lives, save your relationships and marriages from unnecessary insinuations and you will go far in life and live peacefully and happily in your various relationships and marriages. A word to the wise is enough.
