Nature is a wonder in itself, but there are landscapes that impress, astonish and amaze, giving us majestic views and unexpected shapes.

It is defined as a natural monument that natural or cultural feature that has a unique or exceptional value due to its rarity, aesthetic qualities or cultural significance. Surely, many of us have seen some that have left us ecstatic and that include from waterfalls, caves and craters, to archaeological sites or natural events.
Next, some natural monuments in different parts of the world.

Iguazu Falls - Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay

They are formed by 275 jumps up to 262 feet high, fed by the flow of the Iguazú River. You can take boat trips under the falls and walk on trails.

Amazon jungle - extends to nine countries

It is the largest reserve of natural resources in the world, representing a total of 54% of the rainforests existing on Earth. Its surface area is 2.5 million square miles across Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname.

Ha Long Bay - Vietnam

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, it has some 2,000 islands and islets on the north coast of Vietnam.

Komodo Island - Indonesia

Declared also a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, it is located in the national park that has the same name.

Table Mountain - South Africa

Chosen by millions of users as one of the natural wonders of the world, this is a popular tourist spot in the Cape of Good Hope.

Jeju Island - South Korea

Almost 40 miles from the Korean peninsula, it is the largest island in Korea, offering a variety of recreational activities, with its breathtaking views, a temperate climate and a unique traditional culture.

Cotton Castle (Pamukkale) - Turkey

Located in the Denizli region, in the Menderes river valley, in southwestern Turkey, it is an hour by plane or ten hours by road from the city of Istanbul. Enjoy its natural terraces with thermal waters that have formed over the centuries.

Chocolate Hills - Philippines

These unusual geological formations located in Bohol, Philippines, are composed of more than 1,200 cones that form hills that are almost the same size and are spread over an area of 31 miles. They are covered with green grass that, when it dries, turns brown ... hence its name.
