Fully agree. I have had a few ladies in my life tell me that they were "going natural". I'm like why is that even a term? It literally means to stop perm (creamy crack) in your hair, or in other words, be your natural self.
It also involves cutting the permed hair off at some point when there is enough natural growth... otherwise known as "the big chop"
I actually think the widely accepted idea of perming your hair should be called "going unnatural" going forward... and "going natural" should be called "being regular" for clarity.
We definitely have to work to change the dynamic of that conversation around hair collectively.
Yaaas! Maybe we can say "I'm embracing my roots!" We as a ppl need to embrace our roots in all aspects of our life. But the creamy crack GOTSTA GO!🤣🤣
