The Best Way To Take Iron Supplements

I had been taking my iron supplements "lately" and I mean in the middle of the night where my stomach is just empty. It is better to take that way so that the iron would get absorbed better but with a caveat, it has to be taken with vitamin C.

If you would also eat food rich in iron it is also good to take some vitamin C so that the iron which is contained in them also gets absorbed better by your body. Taking some good bacteria helps a lot as well because these bacteria eat your food and when they die they would release those nutrients and gets absorbed by your intestines.

Folic acid also help plus some B vitamins, those B vitamins like vitamin B12 helps facilitate the production of new red blood cells. Vitamin B complex also helps with turning carbohydrates into energy and if you do not have a much varied food that you eat everyday it is better to take vitamin supplements and there are many brands out there to chose from.

Also it is better to assimilate iron supplements as described above, in an empty stomach also because especially if you are taking other medications that could interact with it and hurt. The worse possible scenario is that it won't get absorbed much and will just give you a darker complexion if not damage your liver if you take too much.

I agree with you. At one point, I read the leaflet that came with my Renogen epoeitin injections and it said there that for the epoetin to work best and for your body to produce hemoglobin and other blood components, you must take other supplements as well, like iron supplement, B-Complex, Folic Acid and an ample amount of Vitamin C, preferably naturally sourced.
