Tumeric is the new guy on the block for treating inflammation, and is being widely used. There has been no definitive source for dosages for different conditions and uses. This article also lists a few contraindications.

This is a very popular medicine used across the World, and has a lot of great uses. My favorite book on herbals lists using Tumeric for 20 different conditions. Since it is a spice, it is safe to consume for a fong term. I have been using this spice for a decade to control pain from back surgery, and I have found it quite effective; especially when combined with Boswellia and Black Pepper. The mixture I use contains: Tumeric 65%, boswellia 30%, and Black Pepper 5%; which I make into 00 sized capsules.
Tumeric is a stunningly effective and costs little compared to other treatnments. You should look at it for your home herbal aid kit!
Have you tried Tumeric? What has been your experience, and what have you used it for?
Turmeric😉 one of my favourite spice😊 I used the powder, mixed it with fresh yolk and honey, as a cold medicine for my cats☺ I also consume that mixture to anticipate my stomachache😊 and mix the turmeric with tamarind juice with little sugar palm or honey, it could be a good pain relieve in my period😊. I like turmeric as food colour more than saffron (because saffron is too expensive😂)
The turmeric water also a good medicine for women's healthy diet😊usually mixed with ginger water and sugar palm sugar too. Well.. I use turmeric in many creamy soup I made too, it just a good medicine for inflamation.

You are most welcome 😉 creamy soup with a pinch of turmeric powder or grated really gives a nice colour and benefit, especially on chicken soup .. hey but don't use it too much😊 the taste will be too strange😅 by the way, turmeric also one of the curry based seasoning.

I made some curry, and I went to the lowest heat on the red pepper but it was almost too much, WOW! :) But I use it. It tastes good added to grits, but it is a good flavor. I am not very adept at India cooking, but I am working on it, LOL!

Hehehe.. I understand that @smithlabs😉 I'm not from India, we have our own curry too and the best one is without turmeric😊 .. next time my "jamu gendong" stopped by, I'll take some picture and show you about turmeric water (we have 2-3 kinds of it😅).. by the way.. I've never seen the turmeric flower because ..I dig the root out before it has a chance to bear any flower.. hihihihihi

Well I had to look up the flowers myself, too cold for it to grow well here. BUT I am still trying! I would be interested in the curry recipe, and the tumeric water! I like recipes from all over. Everyone has special recipes, and I love to find those!
I have a lemon bar Recipe that is really great! I may start putting recipes up on steemit.
