This is a few baby spiders that hatched in my garden, they are a very common species of garden spider in the UK.

At this size they are cute to watch as the scurry around and the ones that survive to adulthood will look like this.

Or if you get close up they look like this. This one is enjoying it's dinner of a bumble bee.

EWWWW! I'm totally arachnophobic, so you can imagine what it took for me to read this post - I'm one of those people that will leave it if it's outside where it belongs ... but any I see inside my home are squished dead. It's a good thing I don't own a flamethrower, lol.

Very good macro shots! Cute baby spiders. Glad you let them live. I know lots of folks that would have flattened them before the photos.

Spiders are an important part keeping down pests in a garden, they are a welcome addition there for me.

We don't kill animals or insects that come to our homestead. Most are beneficial, except mosquitos. I haven't really found a benefit for them yet.
